Thank you for your support of the Arts in Sampson County!

The eighth Annual “Golf Fore the Arts” Golf Tournament sponsored by the Sampson Arts Council was held at Coharie Country Club in Clinton on June 9, 2017. A sponsor's and player's reception was held at the Victor R. Small House on June 8th. Everyone enjoyed delicious food provided by Alfredo's and Southern Style Chicken & BBQ. Jazz saxophonist Glen Ingram entertained our sponsors and golfers with cool Jazz tunes.

The Sampson Arts Council would like to thank our community for making this the most successful fundraiser ever! We were thrilled to have 25 teams including 100 golfers, and 115 business and individual sponsors! We cannot thank everyone enough for their support of the Arts in Sampson County! A very special thank you to our Par Sponsors: DuBose Strapping, Hog Slat, Lew & Erika Starling, and McDonald's/Caison Enterprises. Hole Sponsors included Deacon Jones Automotive and Performance Ford Dodge RAM of Clinton. This event was a huge success because of the dedication and hard work of our golf committee, chaired by Mandy DuBose and Erika Starling.

According to Kara Donatelli, Director of the Arts Council, “Funds raised will provide three weeks of Summer Art Camp (for grades 1-6) and four Art Workshops for students (grades 7-12) in June and July for over 100 children. We are thrilled to award 40 art camp scholarships to select students to attend art camp free of charge!

Funds raised also sustain ongoing operations of the Arts Council so we can continue to produce programs and events that advance the Arts and engage our county’s residents and visitors. With your generous support, we are able to provide Arts programming throughout the year such as Artist Receptions, Student Art Club, Adult Art Workshops and Sunday Happenings.”

Many thanks to our awesome Golf Tournament Committee!!!
